Sometimes when you tour a venue, it looks quite different than the way it will actually look when it's your wedding month. Maybe the season changed and it's not as you remembered it. Or, maybe the space is somewhat empty and needs some added extras to create the welcoming, celebratory space you envision your guests enjoying as you wed, dine, drink, and dance the night away. Design is one of our specialties. We will walk your space(s) and pull together a proposal that gives you our creative input as to how to transform your space. You can choose to incorporate all, some, or none of what is proposed. What's included:

Design

​

  • Proposal with drawings or photos of your event spaces with our creative input

  • Color theme selection with exact color swatches for all design needs and implementation

  • Summary of materials to be acquired with budget breakdown for materials

  • Set-up timeline and notations on whether additional staff are needed 

Month of Coordination 

​

  • Review of all vendor timelines 

  • Confirmation communications with all vendors 3-4 weeks out to finalize any remaining details

  • Check-in communications 1-2 weeks out with all vendors 

  • Assistance securing vendors and-or any rental items needed

Day of Coordination


  • Month-out walk through of venue with Bride and any family/friends

  • Timeline for Rehearsal & Wedding Ceremony and Reception 

  • Confirmation communications with all vendors to finalize any remaining details

  • 20+ page Wedding Plan Details for the Wedding Day

  • Creation of 'Rain Plan' (when applicable) and makes determination when to execute the plan -- communicates with vendors all necessary details

  • Choice of using any decor materials owned by BKD Event Design & Coordination including: various arches, signs, wood slabs, drapery, lighting and paper lanterns, table numbers (various kinds), whiskey barrels, lanterns, cylinder vases, mason jars, bud vases, black ceramic dishes, oversized floor vases, Pampas grass, Pampas grass sprays, tealight/votive holders, various colored napkins, chiffon/gauze/satin table runners, chair covers, table linens, greenery - OR - we can set up your provided materials.

  • One Day of Coordinator who will be present at the rehearsal and ceremony and reception; coordinating all vendors, providing instruction to them as well as for the wedding party and family members, cueing everyone at the precise time and handling any issues 

  • Placement of all signage

  • Ensures photography spaces are setup and ready prior to photography sessions and also ensures privacy of photography sessions

  • Additional staff members to set up and take down decor 

  • Work with venue and catering staff to ensure everything is seamless

  • Collection of personal materials and delivery to designated person/location

  • Rental Pick-up + Drop-offs (mileage applicable in some cases)
